Bankhead Forest

July 3, 2000 - The Bankhead is again open to riders!!

Directions to ORV trail at Bankhead National Forest

From Alabama Hwy 157 turn south on Danville Rd (County Road 41).

4 miles from Hwy 157 there is a left bend in the road with a dirt road going west (Forest Service road 249 toward Brushy Lake.

Turn west onto the dirt road. At 3.7 miles you will pass Center church. The staging area is 0.8 miles past the church on the North side of the dirt road.

There will be NATRA arrows at the dirt road and at into the staging area.

The trails are very easy and are run in both directions. Please be very careful while riding the trails.
